2. Canon Character Information
Name: Peter Hale, also known as #Satan-in-a-V-Neck
PB: Ian Bohen
Journal:
cunningwolf
Age: Looks late 30’s, early 40’s. When the writers tell us how old he is, I’ll let you know.
Appearance:
Peter is a Hale, so he has a flare for the dramatic entrance. He is from an ancient, wealthy line of wolves and takes himself very seriously. Because of this, he tends to do everything with a purpose, including how he moves, appears, presents himself, and speaks. Every detail down to how he tilts his head is a measured movement. He prefers tight jeans, nice shoes, v necks, and fashionable jackets. He keeps his hair short and has a little bit of a blonde mustache and chin goatee that can make him look dashing, or evil, depending on the look in his eyes. He has blue eyes naturally, but his wolf eyes are also a cold, steel blue that glows when he flashes them.
History: Wikia Link Here
Powers/Talents:
Peter is a werewolf and comes with the typical werewolf package: heightened senses, strength, speed, healing ability, and can grow fur, claws, and fangs on command to protect himself. His eyes glow blue when he uses his abilities. He can also pull pain from others to ease it in them. If/when he is an alpha, he has the ability to turn others into werewolves – but he isn’t an alpha currently. His resurrection has left his wolf powers diminished, but still there.
For all of his manipulative nature, he is a good and successful teacher in showing others – Derek and Lydia notably – how to work and control their abilities. Peter was the brother of aa very powerful alpha growing up, and because of his curious nature, has learned a few tricks that only alphas should know. Of the alpha skills he knows, the one he uses the most is the ability to put his claws into the spinal column of another to look at their memories. He’s also got the knowledge on being able to use this ability to alter memories, or take them, from another. He has also used his bite when he was an alpha to link himself psychically to Lydia Martin to be able to help guide her subconsciously to bring him back from the dead. This may not be the only semi-magical spell that he knows how to perform, as he was also the one who maintained a lot of the family histories in uploading them to a laptop from the old journals they had been in.
Personality:
Peter Hale was once a member of a very tight knit, powerful old family line of werewolves that took it upon themselves to protect those who lived in a town that would become known as Beacon Hills. He was a wealthy rich boy with a lot of power, and after he finished high school, he was given the role of training Derek Hale to control his abilities as the teenager started to develop his powers.
Then came the fire, and everything that was good about Peter was burnt out of him, leaving him in a burned out, catatonic state for six years. He believed his family was dead, and it wasn’t until he accidentally killed Laura and took her alpha nature did he start to regain his cognitive senses. But he was changed, and driven by a desire for power and revenge fueled the way he rebuilt his psyche making it so that he would do anything to acquire both.
He was able to achieve his revenge, but the anger turned him into a monster of an alpha – out of control and not caring about who or what he destroyed to get what he wanted. It was what ended up killing him.
But Peter had a plan. He always has a plan, and the plan is always a way for him to end up on top, no matter what pain he has to suffer through to get himself there.
His manipulative, scheming nature is known by everyone around him. He doesn’t do anything for anyone without expecting something in return to benefit him. But he has power in the form of information, and that makes him needed and necessary to the rest of the group. The problem is, as Stiles puts it, that Peter is also an unreliable narrator, and because of that, even the information he shares is not always trustworthy in the fact that some minor details are altered or left out in a way that will, as always, leave him an advantage to put him on top.
He is looking for power – physical or mental advantages – that will bring him back to the level of alpha that he believes he still is. He doesn’t care what color his eyes are – he firmly believes that he is the Hale alpha and is working an endgame to give him the physical power to exert that role again.
Why would your character be chosen?
Kings aren’t always just sweet, charming souls that will be the sweethearts to make the adoring public love them. Sometimes, you need to have a firm hand, a cunning mind, and a willingness to make the choices no one else wants to make. Someone who wants the power to make the world right, and if a few people need to be strategically taken off the board to get that result – it’s for the better good, right? And obviously Tristan isn’t really attracted to the sweet romantic types or he would have claimed Elena Gilbert and they’d be halfway to having their third kid right about now. So no, the Grasp is really reaching for someone that may be able to manipulate his way into Tristan’s head and make him realize that he needs Peter and once he has Peter, things will all be better.
And if nothing else – he looks amazing in a v-neck shirt and a pair of skinny jeans.
How much does your character know about non-humans?
Oh, he knows – probably a lot more than he lets on. The Hales tend to be beacons of knowledge of the supernatural in their world and they needed the knowledge to protect their town. Peter has read through most of the family history as he was uploading the records to a laptop, so he has a very well rounded knowledge in general of non-humans - except vampires. Vampires don’t exist in Teen Wolf land per Jeff Davies, so all his vampire knowledge is from pop culture up to 2005.
Why this character:
Ben and Marcus are both good guy leader types. I want someone who is an opposite of that – a bad guy who will do whatever he can to get what he wants and isn’t afraid of making a few enemies in the process. It will give me a different angle to look at the game from, since Ben and Marcus are tied up so much in helping protect and serve the people. Peter only serves himself.

First-Person:
[he waited for a day to use this earbud technology to talk to the others on the ship. He wasn’t an idiot – announcing one’s presence among a virtual group of strangers would be to admit that he was like them. And he was nothing like the rest of this rag-tag cast of characters that had been picked up for whatever the real reason was that wasn’t being said.
The little blonde boy had been very informative, but he would rather gain his own information the old fashioned way. Still, there was a role to be played here as he learned, and appearances must be met. He took the time he needed to figure exactly the kind of first impression he wished to make, and then opened up the channel as he had been shown]
I believe I was told it’s expected for one to greet the rest of you over these headsets and introduce yourself. While I’m not one for welcoming parties, far be it for me to break from custom. My name is Peter, and I am the newest one among you. I’m sure it will be a pleasure, but so far, this place is lacking in personality that I’m not sure exactly what to think. If there is something you feel a newcomer such as myself should know beyond Mr. Malfoy’s basic overview of the situation, I would appreciate hearing it.
[anyone from Beacon Hills wouldn’t need the last name tagged to recognize his voice. If any of them were here – his nephew, or perhaps a certain baby alpha, redhead, or overly intelligent but annoying human – he knew they would come to him. Otherwise, he would just see what was shared with him freely and start there.]
Third-Person:
Peter Hale wasn’t fond of being told no; which is why he is drawn to the sixth floor and staring up at the ceiling very shortly after learning that no one was allowed up beyond that floor without ramifications. That wasn’t very nice, in his honest opinion. If this place was a rescue vessel to save the other candidates from whatever hell this place called the Wyld had been, certainly the saviors would want to interact with them to ensure they were faring well.
He took his time, meticulously scanning each inch of visible ceiling to find a hint of weakness in the metal. A small crevice perhaps that a single claw could reach into and pull back, revealing a vent that would allow him access to the next level. It was always the cracks that people overlooked, but held the greatest power when found. Sinking your claws in, the feel of the give, knowing you’ve got the power over it and can determine how to manipulate it – those were the moments he sought after.
This ship was no different. The whole “candidate” business was a joke, really. Both were facades to something more. He could smell it in the air, and he wasn’t going to rest until he found those tiny cracks others seemed to miss in their little day to day lives of friendship, family, and – god help him - farming. No, he had higher priorities to focus on, and when he discovered it, the rest of the candidates would come to see just why he no one could deny that he was still an alpha, no matter his eye color, and would fall in line behind him and beg him to help find a way back to their pitiful little worlds.
And once he had their allegiance, he would get a visit to this Tristan and see just this world really had to offer him.
